I began taking photos in the 1980s, when I was living in Moscow, using a no-frills Soviet camera and black-and-white film. Years passed, and these days most of my time is spent working as a cardiologist. But my love for photography has remained -and evolved -and I am thrilled to be able to share my work with others.

I fell in love with the color reproduction and resolution of the Foveon sensor, and I have been using the Sigma DP lineup since 2010.

For a landscape photographer, a 50mp full-frame Canon 5 DS R with Zeiss 21mm f2.8 prime feels like a spring breeze in an open field...

My aim is to capture light and composition in its native form with minimal post-processing.
